Puzzle Notes

Dear friends,

Well, the first two weeks of 2021 have been challenging, and not in the enjoyable way that puzzles can be challenging. Perhaps a puzzle will help. Martina Waluk's second Inkubator puzzle, "Hello, Kitty," is a gentle offering to launch the Inkubator's third subscription year. This one provides an enjoyable kind of challenge, one that is light to moderate. Give this puzzle just a little attention and love, and you're sure to be rewarded in kind.

Martina is a long-time fan of word games, number conundrums, and jigsaw puzzles. She is easily distracted by forgotten songs from the 1970s and 80s, geography trivia, and anything having to do with cats. If she's not traveling, she's likely starting yet another crocheting project or working on a crossword. She's incredibly grateful to everyone at the Inkubator for giving her so much support and encouragement since she started constructing. Since her debut grid with the Inkubator last year, she's been published in Universal Crosswords, Marie Claire, and the Morning Brew. As a retired educator, she hopes to continue developing her crossword website and invites you to come over and play!

As 2021 begins, we're continuing our commitment to quality progressive, feminist crosswords. Another year of the Inkubator will cost just $30 for 36 puzzles (plus a few bonuses) -- that's three puzzles per month, at less than one dollar per puzzle. We hope you'll join us for our third year, which will feature debuts from Anne Rousseve and Chez Knox, returning favorites Amanda Rafkin and Barbara Lin, and many more! Click here to renew your Inkubator subscription for $30. A subscription to the Inkubator makes a great gift, too!

We're just a week away from our first themeless of 2021, an impressive inspiration by Jenna LaFleur.

Happy new year!
Laura, Tracy, Juliana, and Stella
